RackSpace is an OpenSource rack and datacenter management utility. Rackspace was started, as with most opensource programs, because there was a need for a utility to manage rack server equipment placement and power management and there wasn't anything else readily aparent out there that quite fit the bill. RackSpace currently can track server and/or equipment placement in your racks, power usage, vlan usage and BTU's per rack and per datacenter. While RackSpace is currently under heavy development, it is also successfully seeing heavy use and is a functional product. Screenshots are provided on the left as well as a download link.
