BashPodder: A new update

Yes it certainly has been a while since I have done *anything* with BashPodder. I have, however, received a few requests for things and some for access to the code on GitHub so it could be worked into some actual distribution packages. Queue this post. BashPodder – the original, now on GitHub. https://github.com/lincgeek/bashpodder Have at […]

Updates

Updates, updates everywhere. I pushed a bunch of updates to FreeLinuxBox.org, my Blog, LinuxPlanet Casts and Blogs, LinuxForChristians, TLLTS Planet and the Lincware forums. Everything looks ok right now, but please let me know if you see anything strange happening (or not happening as the case may be). Thanks and you may now return to […]

Most unlikely BP install

It’s been a long time since I posted about BashPodder and this is great news. BashPodder seems to show up in the most unlikely of places. Today I got a letter from John C. pointing me to a post on how he uses BashPodder *on* his iPod Touch. I think this is absolutely brilliant. Make […]

Your chocolate in my peanut butter

Just thought it was worth a mention that BashPodder and LinuxPlanet happen to go together particularly well. Just grab a copy of BashPodder and in your bp.conf file put the rss feed for LinuxPlanet Casts (http://www.linuxplanet.org/casts/?feed=rss2) and you’re ready to rumble. You will get all the great podcasts who post to LinuxPlanet and because they […]

BashPodder

I mentioned previously that I was thinking of adding some new functionality to my BashPodder pages. I wanted something to help me keep track of information and new user contrib scripts there instead of me manually taking care of it all. The best solution I could think of was a forum. Then, I got thinking […]

Ahh, what to do..

I have long been pondering what to do with my BashPodder website. It really needs an overhaul in the worst way. I could use some suggestions from those of you who have any interest 🙂 My thoughts are to possibly change it’s site into a forum type thing for people to post their changes/modifications. That […]

PodSync

A new version of PodSync (uses BashPodder) is out and available for download. This new version is for OS2008 on the Nokia N800/N810. It’s pretty slick. And, if you, like me, are still running OS2007, you can find the older versions off of PodSync’s Home Pages.

BashPodder on the N800

Wouter Houweling created a piece of software called PodSync, which, at it’s core uses BashPodder. I installed it this morning, and as long as you already have wget installed, it runs fantastic. If you have an N800, here’s your podcatcher. I am assuming that this will work fine with the Nokia 770 as well, however, […]

BashPodder Reviewed Again

Just got a nice notice from Dimitri at SourceTrunk, the podcast that he reviewed BashPodder. So, I had to head over there and check out a few shows. I have to say that not only is the BashPodder review flattering, but the rest of the material I listened to is well presented, very well informed […]

BashPodder

You asked for it, you got it! The BashPodder site is now back online in it’s new location. Tell everyone 😉 I hope to have some time someday soon to do some reorganization to the site and maybe even BashPodder itself. Any ideas or suggestions, make sure and shoot them my way!
