iTaste MVP

How do you tell who is a really great vendor? When one of these shows up in your mailbox!

VapingXtreme sent out an iTaste MVP for me to check out and I have been having the time of my life with it! The iTaste MVP is put out by Innokin and it is a variable voltage ecig (mod) with some nice features. This thing will do from 3.0 to 5.0 volts in .1 volt increments. It has a puff counter, which despite what others say can actually be useful. It is a passthrough mod, which means you can charge it while you are using it at the same time. It has a 3 click on/off safety feature, short circuit and over discharge protection, all for only $65! WOOT! And if you think that sounds good, wait till I tell you this: It has a 2600 mAh battery in it! I have literally been using this thing daily for 3 weeks and I *just* recharged it for the 3rd time! Not only does this battery last a long time, they also made this entire device a mobile USB charger as well. Yes, if you look at the bottom you will see not only the charging port (micro USB) but also a full sized USB port and an auxiliary switch. If you plug a USB powered device into that full sized port and turn on the aux switch, you have power a plenty for charging your cellphone. camera, or what have you, when you are out and on the go.

The MVP comes in 3 colors, steel (the one I have), blue and black. Each has a little mirror finish led display area on the bottom left hand side with 2 buttons at the bottom of that which adjust your voltage up and down. When adjusting your voltage, there is an automatic rollover backwards and forwards from 5 to 3 volts, and the MVP also remembers your previous voltage setting whether off or on, charging or not. Right in the center of the front at the top is the fire button. As I mentioned before, 3 clicks on and off. This button is also lighted and gives some indication as to the remaining battery capacity when you fire it. If the button turns green on fire, you have a full charge. Yellow is a medium charge, and red indicates you need to charge the device soon.

Now the kit the iTaste comes with really completes the package. The iTaste MVP arrives in this nice clear plastic display case. Inside, you get the MVP, a beauty ring for the collar of the MVP, a USB cable which not only works to charge the MVP but also will double as a charging cable capable of interfacing with multiple types of devices, 2 clearomizers and a feature illustration. The clearomizers look pretty sharp on the MVP, making it look, to me, kind of like a walkie-talkie. They work really well and I ran 100% VG (cinnamon even) in one for 3 weeks with no cracking and no dry hits. I only recently pulled it off to see how difficult they would be to clean (rinse and air dry btw) and to see how cool the iTaste would look with a pretty tank sitting on top of it. I have to say that I just really dig this mod. It works great, it’s nice to hold, hefty, solid, feels sort of pipe-ish to vape, fires every time and seems to just last forever! At this price point I would have to say it would be silly not to get one of these. You know you want it 🙂 And just remember, you do not have to buy batteries or a charger or clearomizers, etc., already included!

There are, however, some things I would change. The manual isn’t really a manual, but pretty much a picture of where the buttons are. Then again, this device is really not rocket science and shouldn’t require a big manual. If I were the designer, I think I would have put the stem of the device in the center of the top. Just my aesthetic preference I guess. Lastly, the chrome beauty ring sort of overhangs the edge of the mod when it is on. Not by much, just enough to notice.

All that said, would I buy it? Yes, and you should too. The faults I found are really nitpicky and have more to do with my personal sense of aesthetics rather than any functional issues, and that is primarily because there ARE NO functional issues that I could find. If you are at all in the market for a box mod or a new VV mod, or you are a new guy like me looking for your first big boy/girl ecig, or just looking for something unique and different, this is your new best friend. Go hit VapingXtreme and pick yours up today and tell them Linc sent you.

OH, almost forgot, if you dig cinn-a-bun e-juice, you should make a pitstop at VapingXtreme as well! They sent me a nice sample to try with the MVP and, other than me being too new to think of actually shaking the bottle before initially trying it, it is pretty tasty 🙂 I initially just dumped this stuff in a clearomizer and it tasted to me like burnt pizza. When I mentioned this to Mark from VapingXtreme, he said I might do better after shaking the bottle up to mix it better. He was, of course, right 🙂 Hey, we all live and learn! Speaking of that, the reason you should go here to buy your goodies instead of somewhere else is they offer a lot of nice products there all in one place and they were awful nice to me and helped me through my usual series of dumb questions without batting an eye. Good service!
