So much to say about the Ohio Linux Fest 2007 trip I am not entirely sure where to start or even where to end yet… I did want to say that this is the most fun I have had in a good while, and the most amazing thing happened there. I noticed that practically every […]
Just a real quick blurb on this as I am on a break at work…: I did do an install of the IBM Lotus Symphony office suite the day it was released and after using it a couple times I came across the following command which improves it’s performance dramatically: linc$ sudo /opt/ibm/lotus/Symphony/_uninst/uninstaller.bin
It’s coming soon – the Ohio Linux fest. One of the things we will be handing out this year is cd’s / dvd’s with some of our shows on them. I know the other guys did loads of dvd’s with shows 1-180 on them. I thought I’d compliment that a little bit by making a […]

Now I know most of you have seen one of my old computer setups at home, but since moving and all I have had to severely downsize. I figured there would be at least a few of you who were interested in what I am running now. Things have been whittled down a lot! I […]

Once again, I am finally starting to creep out from under the rock of RL and post a bit. Thanks again to those of you who wrote me to motivate me and tell me that you miss my blog. I had a chance this weekend to play just a little bit and decided to finally […]
It’s been a long while since anything new showed up here. What can I say. Real life has caught up with me lately. What I can tell you is that all the hosts from TLLTS are looking forward to meeting with you all at the Ohio Linux Festival again. There are definitely good times to […]
Yup. Finally took the plunge the other day and installed bind on my home server so I have local DNS. All in all, it was really painless. I followed a nice tutorial available at http://www.ubuntugeek.com/dns-server-setup-using-bind-in-ubuntu.html which details the entire simple process. The only snag I hit was after I was complete, I could resolve external […]
